Shane J. Mills, MD

Dr. Shane Mills was inspired to join the medical field because he wanted to help people and make a difference in their lives. He was encouraged by his mother, who was a registered nurse. Conscientious and personable, his special interests include colorectal cancer screening and prevention, liver disease (chronic hepatitis C), inflammatory bowel disease, and endoscopic therapy of the biliary tract.

In his personal life, Dr. Mills is an avid football fan and enjoys photography and the creativity and challenge of painting. He loves spending time with his family and enjoys a good game of ping-pong. He served as Chief of Gastroenterology at William Beaumont Army Medical Center from 2008-13 and was selected by his peers as the 2012 Eddy Palmer Endoscopy Award recipient, which recognizes excellence in endoscopy (EGD).
